A Legacy of Philanthropy

The EJMP Fund for Philanthropy was established in 2010 through an allocation from the Prince Charitable Trusts, continuing a philanthropic tradition rooted in the generosity and vision of Frederick H. Prince and his wife, Abbie Norman Prince.

The Prince family’s formal philanthropic legacy dates to 1947, when the Prince Charitable Trusts were established to provide enduring support for charitable organizations and the communities they serve. Over the generations, that tradition of giving has reflected a belief that thoughtful philanthropy can strengthen communities, expand opportunity, preserve important institutions and resources, and improve the lives of others.

EJMP was created as a continuation and evolution of that legacy, bringing the Prince family's longstanding commitment to philanthropy into a locally focused organization with deep ties to Aquidneck Island and Newport County, Rhode Island.
