Grant Submission Requirements

Both Project and General Operating Grant proposals must be clear, concise, and limited to no more than two (2) pages. The proposal should provide the information requested for the applicable grant type as outlined.

In addition to the two-page proposal, applicants must submit the following required documentation. The EJMP Grant Coversheet and required attachments are not included in the two-page limit:

  1. EJMP Grant Coversheet (link below)

  2. IRS Determination Letter

  3. Certificate of Good Standing

  4. Current Board of Directors List

  5. Current Balance Sheet

  6. Current IRS Form 990

  7. Current Fiscal Year (FY) Budget or Project Budget.

Please submit the EJMP Grant Coversheet, completed proposal, and all required documentation together as a single PDF file.

EJMP Grant Opportunities & Application Requirements

Over the past several years, EJMP has experienced a steady increase in requests for General Operating Support. As a result, EJMP will apply greater scrutiny when evaluating these requests to ensure that grant funding is directed where it can have the greatest impact.

EJMP encourages organizations to consider Project Grants that support specific initiatives with clearly defined goals and measurable outcomes. Strong proposals should demonstrate not only how the project will benefit the organization, but also how it will positively impact the individuals, families, and communities we collectively serve.

Project Grant:

-What specific initiative does the project support

-What are the goals of the project

-What are the desired measurable outcome of the project

-What is the intended impact of the project

-How does the project align with both the organization’s mission and EJMP’s philanthropic priorities.

-What is the project budget with a budget narrative to that describe how the requested EJMP funds will be allocated within the project budget and how the project budget fits within the organization’s overall operating budget

General Operating Grant:

General Operating Grants will be considered only when a clear and compelling need is demonstrated.

Applicants should provide a thorough explanation:

-Why a general operating grant is essential to the organization’s mission and continued impact.

-How the requested funding will be used, and how that use aligns with EJMP’s mission and funding priorities.
