Grant Submission Requirements

Grant proposals must be clear, concise, and limited to no more than two (2) pages. The proposal should provide the information requested for the applicable grant type and clearly describe the organization’s need, intended use of funds, anticipated impact, and alignment with EJMP’s mission.

In addition to the two-page proposal, applicants must submit the following required documentation. The EJMP Grant Coversheet and required attachments are not included in the two-page limit:

  1. EJMP Grant Coversheet (link below)

  2. IRS Determination Letter

  3. Certificate of Good Standing

  4. Current Board of Directors List

  5. Current Balance Sheet

  6. Current IRS Form 990

  7. Current Fiscal Year (FY) Budget or Project/Program Budget, as applicable

EJMP Grant Opportunities & Application Process:

Over the past several years, EJMP has experienced a steady increase in requests for General Operating Support. As a result, EJMP will apply greater scrutiny when evaluating these requests to ensure that grant funding is directed where it can have the greatest impact.

Moving forward, requests for General Operating Support will be considered only when a clear and compelling need is demonstrated. Applicants should provide a thorough explanation of why general operating support is essential to the organization’s mission and continued impact, how the requested funding will be used, and how that use aligns with EJMP’s mission and funding priorities.

EJMP also encourages organizations to consider Project or Program Grant requests that support specific initiatives with clearly defined goals and measurable outcomes. Project-based funding can provide an opportunity to address a particular need, expand or strengthen an existing program, or introduce a new initiative that creates meaningful and lasting impact. Strong proposals should demonstrate not only how the project will benefit the organization, but also how it will positively impact the individuals, families, and communities we collectively serve. Applicants should clearly describe the anticipated outcomes, how success will be measured, and how the project aligns with both the organization’s mission and EJMP’s philanthropic priorities.
